Social Distancing Via Possessed Van

It’s so funny how we have these brains that work in strange ways. I don’t leave the house much at all, but as soon as I’m told I can’t leave the house, I think of all these places I want to go. Today, we tried to take the van (Which we finally were able to get fixed) out for a drive. I wasn’t going to get out or do anything, just wanted to go out of the house because I’ve been cooped up for several weeks already. Sure enough, the wheelchair ramp wouldn’t work. I had already gotten up, gotten dressed, moved to the chair, rolled outside, ready to go, and the darned ramp wouldn’t come down. No power

Roll back in the house, call my mom, whine to her for a while, explain that I wasn’t going to get out of the car (she is worried about me right now with this coronavirus stuff going on because if I get it, I’m probably dead. so i had too assure her I wasn’t even getting out to the park but just driving around, because she, like she said, someone could have been sick and sat on the park bench–I just wanted to go pokemon hunting in the van).

Aleck drove the van back to the mechanic who worked on it…. the ramp was working when he made it there. The guy couldn’t find anything wrong with it.

Bring the van back home, plan to go for a drive again, Aleck pulls up into the driveway and looks back and the light for the ramp is off and there’s no power to it again.

My van is trying to tell me something. Well-played van, well-played.

You win this time. I’ll stay home.

I love and need you all.
